I've got a crush. On San Francisco. What's not to love? (The fog isn't even bad, people!) I may have walked a double marathon around this city, hiking up and down the hills of Pacific Heights and then some with baby on hip, diaper bag + stroller on shoulder, but I didn't care. I was like a kid in a candy shop. Everything is just, well, sweet here.
Heeding from The Northeast; Land of Neutrals (think, the cliched black uniform of New Yorkers) I was especially enamored with the bright, candy-sorbet-sherbet colors of S.F. I love how the city has modernized but still proudly owns it's hippie-bohemian spirit, boasting loud graffiti and building murals like art on display in a gallery. Vintage shop signs sprinkle the streets, their own little antique sculptures. And the houses, oh! the houses! They just make me smile.
I didn't get to do much shopping on this trip (probably a good thing!) But since I find design everywhere, I began to document some of this eye-candy during my sunny adventures with Avery. My trusty Nikon is just one of the many things I gladly schlepped up and down this stair master of a city. You see, I'm a bit of a frustrated photographer. I desperately want my images to capture the essence of what I am experiencing at that exact moment in time. The truth is, they never even come close. But this is the best way I can share the eclectic energy, the fuel for the creative soul that is San Francisco with you.
Here are a few of the many scenes I was crushing on:
So, which one is your favorite? And what colors are you currently crushing on? Would love to hear in the comments below!
